This ordinance would enable the CBJ to regain title of the Hurlock property at no cost to the CBJ. Upon the CBJ receiving title to the Hurlock property three notable things occur: (1) the CBJ would retain the $35,000 down payment paid by Alaska Legacy Partners, (2) the debt owed to the CBJ by Alaska Legacy Partners would be extinguished, and (3) the senior assisted living facility condition on Ordinance 2018-42 would terminate.
The Committee of the Whole reviewed this topic on November 9, 2020, and recommended the Assembly introduce this ordinance.
