MANAGER'S REPORT:
This ordinance would appropriate $73,100 for Eaglecrest’s FY21 supplemental operating costs, estimated to be spent in the following categories:
Equipment $ 71,200
Propane for Outdoor Seating $ 1,900
Total $ 73,100
This supplemental funding would enable Eaglecrest to operate the winter season in compliance with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) industry best practices developed in accordance with CDC and WHO COVID-19 health guidelines. The request for equipment would fund the purchase of tents, tables, and propane heaters for socially-distant outdoor seating, as well as two WeatherPort ski patrol shelters to ensure the safety and health of ski patrollers. This request also includes propane costs for the outdoor seating area prior to December 30.
Funding for this request would be provided by the CARES Act Special Revenue Fund.
The Assembly Finance Committee reviewed this request at the September 30 meeting and requested staff draft an ordinance for introduction at the next Assembly meeting. |
