Ordinance 2019-06(AG) An Ordinance Appropriating up to $8,500,000 to the Manager for Phase 2 of a COVID-19 Business Sustainability Grant Program; Funding Provided by the CARES Act Special Revenue Fund.

MANAGER'S REPORT:

The Economic Stabilization Task Force has been developing options for the Assembly to help the local economy recover from the harm caused by COVID-19. This would provide additional funding of $8.5M for Phases 2 and 3 of the Business Sustainability Program. This topic was discussed by Assembly committees on May 20 (AFC), and June 1 (COW).

Version (b) of this ordinance mimics the amendments made by the Assembly on June 8 to Phase 1 (Ord. 2019-06(AC)(b)(am)), which are depicted with underlining and strikethroughs.

This ordinance was introduced on June 8 and is set for public hearing on June 29, unless the Assembly directs otherwise.
