Ordinance 2014-24(AN) An Ordinance Appropriating to the Manager the Sum Of $1,018,329 as Funding for the Juneau International Airport Runway Rehabilitation Capital Improvement Project (CIP A50-079), Funding Provided by The Federal Aviation Administration and The State of Alaska Department of Transportation.

MANAGER'S REPORT:

This ordinance would appropriate $1,018,328.97 for the Runway Rehabilitation capital project (CIP A50-079).  Funding is provided as follows:

Federal Aviation Administration grant:                                  $    985,479.65

Alaska Department of Transportation match:                        $     32,849.32

This airport capital project will resurface the runway, and install new drainage.        

The FAA funds 93.75% of the project with the remainder being split between Alaska DOT and Juneau International Airport. Airport matching funds will be transferred separately, the subject of Transfer Request T-969 before the Assembly.

The Airport Board approved this action at their March 11, 2015 meeting.

RECOMMENDATION:

The Manager recommends this ordinance be introduced and set for public hearing at the next regular Assembly meeting.
